Ethernet hat eine auf 100m begrenzte Kabellänge zwischen dem Switch und der Kamera. Für die Überbrückung größerer Distanzen wird üblicherweise ein Switch als Repeater oder aber Glasfaser benutzt.
Um die Distanzbegrenzung zu umgehen, können Netzwerk-Installateure einfach einen AXIS T8129 PoE Extender an das Cat-5e oder Cat-6-Kabel anschließen und den Rest zur Kamera weiterführen. Abhängig von Midspan und Kameratyp kann die gesamte Verbindung zwischen 200-400m lang sein.
Kompatibilität

Bereich
Der Bereich hängt von der benötigten Stromversorgung ab. So kann eine 25W PTZ-Dome-Kamera in 200m Entfernung mit einem einzigen AXIS T8129 auskommen. Oder Sie dehnen die Kabellänge zu einer regulären 5W Netzwerk-Kamera über drei AXIS T8129-Geräte in 100m-Abständen bis auf 400m aus. Keine zusätzliche Stromversorgung
AXIS T8129 erfordert keine zusätzliche Stromversorgung,- und die eingebundene Netzwerk-Kamera wird über einen einzelnen PoE-Switch oder Midspan versorgt. Das Gerät bietet zwei female Ethernet-Ports, die beide automatisch auf Link-Geschwindigkeit, Duplex und Crossover konfiguriert sind und die volle Netzwerkdurchgängigkeit aufrecht erhalten.

AXIS T8613 SFP Module 1000BASE-T is a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver that supplies network devices, such as a switches or routers, with a network connection. It is industrial grade with a wide temperature range (between -40 °C to 65°C), and it includes loss of signal feature that enable network redundancy.
Complying with SFP Multisource Agreement (MSA) and IEEE802.3, it is easy to install into compliant ports at any time without interrupting the online operation of the host equipment. AXIS T8613 can handle 1.25 Gbps over a 4-pair Category 5 UTP cable with up to 100 m link length. The module uses an integrated RJ45 connector, and is tested and verified with Axis products such as AXIS T8516 PoE+ Network Switch.
Link-loss feature for network redundancy
The loss of signal (LOS) feature allows for the system to recognize a lost connection between a specific hardware (For example, AXIS Network Cameras) and the host. For optimized network redundancy, AXIS T8613 signals the hardware in case of a lost connection or unusable connection for network traffic. This allows for the hardware to redirect the network traffic through a fallback Connection.
